Thread: J, K, N Class Destroyer
I am in Wigan
Yes - that would make sense. Dad always referred to it as HMS Javelin and it is about 70" long. I have no idea who made the hull, but it is VERY impressive.
My father was an avid model engineer who served in the merchant navy on steam ships. Many, May years ago he acquired a hull and plans for a destroyer.
He never got anywhere near doing much to it. Real life always had a knack of getting in the way. He dreamt about making a proper steam model out of it.
If anyone is interested in taking this on and doing the magnificent hull justice, please contact me on 07740865266 or email email@example.com
P.S. I have lots more pictures if needed
Thread: Old Magazines
I have come across numerous back copies of model boat and ship magazines dating back as far as 1948. My father was a model engineer and kept all his old copies. They are in excellent condition for their age.
There are Model Ships and Powerboats from 1948 and 49 as well as Ships and Model Ships from 1954 to 56.
If anyone is interested in these, please email me on davidrmaloney@btinternet,com or ring me on 07740865266

Thread: Back Copies of Model Boats
I have come across numerous back copies of Model Boat dating back as far as 1966. My father was a model engineer and kept all his old copies from 1966 through to 1978. They are in excellent condition and many still contain the supplements (plans etc) that came with them. If anyone is interested in these, please email me on firstname.lastname@example.org or ring me on 07740865266

We welcome well written contributions from Website members on almost any aspect of Model Boating with a particular emphasis on practical hints, tips, experience and builds.
In order to maintain a consistent standard and format, all suggestions should first be sent to me by Personal Message for approval in principle. Only a very limited amount of time is available for editing contributions into a suitable format for placing on the website so it is important that the material is well presented, lucid and free from obvious spelling errors. I think it goes without saying that contributions should be illustrated by appropriate photos. I shall be happy to give advice on this.
The Member Contribution area offers space for short informative mini articles which would not normally find a place in Model Boats magazine. It is an opportunity for Website Members to freely share their expertise and experience but I am afraid that virtue is its own reward as there is no budget to offer more material recompense!
I look forward to receiving your suggestions.
