Each issue has extensive kit and model reviews, informative features, show reports, club news, new items for the modeller and regular expert columns from a number of highly regarded contributors.
Within alternate issues you'll find a high-quality FREE plan along with an accompanying build article. Model Boats covers all areas of this absorbing hobby. Whether your interest is in tugs, lifeboats, warships, sailing craft, model yachting or offshore racing, to name but a few, you will find something of interest within its pages.
Model Boats is published monthly by Mortons Media Group Ltd. and is available by direct subscription to the UK or overseas or from your local newsagent.
The magazine website: www.modelboats.co.uk was launched at the end of 2006 and provides an opportunity for readers and indeed all who are interested in model boating to use the free forum to discuss the hobby. You will also find samples of previously published articles showing the wide variety of subjects covered in the magazine together with useful links. Following a recent makeover, the website is being improved to make it the No.1 port of call for model boaters everywhere.
It goes without saying that the editors are keen model boat enthusiasts. If you'd like to get in touch then there are a number of ways for you to do so, we'd love to hear from you. In the meantime - Happy Boating!

We welcome well written contributions from Website members on almost any aspect of Model Boating with a particular emphasis on practical hints, tips, experience and builds.
In order to maintain a consistent standard and format, all suggestions should first be sent to me by Personal Message for approval in principle. Only a very limited amount of time is available for editing contributions into a suitable format for placing on the website so it is important that the material is well presented, lucid and free from obvious spelling errors. I think it goes without saying that contributions should be illustrated by appropriate photos. I shall be happy to give advice on this.
The Member Contribution area offers space for short informative mini articles which would not normally find a place in Model Boats magazine. It is an opportunity for Website Members to freely share their expertise and experience but I am afraid that virtue is its own reward as there is no budget to offer more material recompense!
I look forward to receiving your suggestions.
